st. Vincent de Paul Catholic Community is a parish within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, New York. It is a rural community located in the beautiful Schoharie County valley. The parish records date back to 1871 but there is a documented history of Catholic ministry that pre-dates the Civil War. The first church was dedicated in 1894. One hundred years later, in October 1994, a new and much larger church building was dedicated.
Know that you are always welcome at St. Vincent de Paul, whether you are a local resident or simply passing through on one of your life's journeys!

Guidelines for ‘Reopening the Church’
St. Vincent’s, Cobleskill, NY
We are ready to welcome you! You should know we missed you, especially Fr.
Joe Arockiasamy since he has not seen many people. The reopening committee
wants you to know our church is Clean, Safe and Prepared. There is no rush to
return to the church until we open completely. You can continue doing online
Mass if you wish. If you or your family members are sick, please do not attend Mass.
Finally, it is ok to smile and give an air-hug!
As our church reopens, we encourage you to follow and consider these guidelines.
Golden Rules:
1. Keep a distance of six feet from each other.
2. Sanitize and wash your hands often.
3. Avoid touching in general.
4. Wear a face mask.
Things to keep in mind as you come to church:
• Use the designated entry- (main door) and exit (side door towards parking
lot) to the church.
• Ushers will be assisting in the church.
• Bathrooms and reconciliation room are closed completely.
• Bulletin and sheet music will be on the chairs; please take with you as you leave the
church.
• Collection baskets will be at the entry and exit doors.
• Fr. Joe will distribute the Holy Communion with face mask to the parishioners’ seat. If communicants still need to take by tongue, be seated on your chair, then stand at the end.
We thank you all for your patience during these trying times.
God Bless all of you.

Bad weather sometimes necessitates the cancelling of winter activities.
If school has been cancelled, the parish office closes and all activities and meetings are cancelled.
We post all closings/cancellations on the website. In addition, that information will be listed on the TV in the same place that you find school closings. The same information will be on the answering machine.
While unlikely, if Fr. Arockiasamy is unable to get here for liturgy, we will have a Sunday Celebration according to diocesan guidelines.
